Kelly Hyman is a Fort Lauderdale attorney at The Hyman Law Firm. Her focus is on class action and mass tort litigation. Over the years she has represented hundreds of claimants in claims and individual actions, filed both in state and federal courts. Some of her most notorious cases involved tobacco litigation, transvaginal mesh suits, and water contamination. Improving the lives of the people in her community is the reason she entered the law industry, to begin with, so it’s only fitting that she has become the people’s advocate for mass torts.
Kelly Hyman has had an extremely busy and successful career thus far. Most recently, Kelly has achieved the AV Preeminent® Rating, the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell®. Kelly is a member of, the Colorado Bar, the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Bar, and the Washington D.C. From 2017-2018, Kelly Hyman served as President of the Palm Beach Federal Bar Association. She proudly graduated from the American Association for Justice’s leadership academy and continues to serve as a member of the AAJ.
Kelly Hyman is also an avid speaker in the law community. She has taken all her skills, knowledge and experience that she has gained over the years, and now uses them to help others in her industry. She has spoken at many conferences including HarrisMartin Conferences, Consumer Litigation Conferences, etc.
Kelly Hyman has also become an advocate for other women in her industry. This year she spoke at the Alliance For Women Trial Lawyers 2018 Fall Conference, and The Women En Mass Tort annual retreat. By joining communities and alliances centered around promoting the success of other women attorneys, she has morphed herself into a champion for the fight for equality in the courtroom. Along the way, she has become a hot commodity for speaking engagements all over the country.
Kelly started her professional career at the University of California, Los Angeles where she graduated with a B.A. in Communications. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the University of California, Levin College of Law. Her first steps upon graduation included clerking for the Honorable Brian Sandoval, who is now the Governor of Nevada, while he was a United States District Court Judge.
Previously, Kelly Hyman worked as a successful actress for 25 years in New York and California. She appeared in various television shows, movies, off-Broadway plays, and commercials. She was able to use her skills developed over the years to advance her career in law on an entirely new stage: the courtroom. That experience also gave her the ability and confidence to be a captivating public speaker. Kelly still has a fierce love and passion for the entertainment industry today.
